5 Stars for Nook Cafe & Wine Bar! Nook Cafe & Wine Bar on Hyde and Jackson has always been a favorite spot of mine for coffee when I lived on Hyde Street, but wow, what a transformation under the new ownership! The cozy, laid-back vibe is still there, but now it's the perfect place to wind down after a long day. The wine selection is absolutely incredible - they have some truly unique wines from places like the Canary Islands and pair them with some delicious tapas. It's an experience that keeps me coming back again and again! Whether meeting up with friends or unwinding solo (like me), Nook has the perfect blend of warmth, charm, and quality. I highly recommend it for a relaxing end-of-the-day!

Great coffee shop offering locally made mediterranean style sandwiches with nice outdoor and indoor seating at the crossing of 2 cable car tracks. On request they make the sandwiches as gluten-free plates.

Amazing coffee, the vanilla latte was great and the size was much larger than most coffee shops in the city! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The sandwiches all looked great, I had the vegetarian one and it was a 10/10. It's a great place to do some work from because they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating.

New renovation looks amazing and chic on the corner of Jackson and hyde. The coffee was on par with the drinks pre-renovation. Strong espresso but not bitter. The menu revamp is extremely exciting and an upgrade from their already good food. Their chorizo empanada and dips were top tier and the jamón sandwich was perfectly balanced with manchego, jalapeño, and carmelized onions. The owner who served us was very nice, and food came out very quickly. They are now serving dinner (tapas-eske) and we will definitely be back for that and a glass of wine. It's a very European vibe especially being on the cable car line. If you've been to Nook before, go again for a new but better experience!
